MARKO MITANOVSKI IS A LONDON BASED SERBIAN DESIGNER. HE GRADUATED FROM THE COLLEGE OF DESIGN IN BELGRADE IN 2009. HIS WORK IS RECOGNISABLE FOR ITS SCULPTURAL AND THEATRICAL FORM WITH DETAILED CONSTRUCTION AND PRECISE GEOMETRY. HE FINDS INSPIRATION IN NATURE, BIRDS, REPTILE’S SKELETONS, HISTORICAL COSTUMES AND ARCHITECTURE.
He was one of the chosen designers for the Ones to Watch show that was held at Fashion Scout, September 2009.
Marko Mitanovski’s costumes were featured in leading international fashion publications such as Dazed, Vogue.co.uk, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Grazia, L’Officiel, Cosmopolitan, Vision, Time Out, Q magazine, Hello! magazine, Wonderland magazine, I-D magazine, The Star paper and La Republicca.
His designs have been worn by celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Skunk Anansie, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Katie Melua, Paloma Faith, Cher Lloyd, Immodesty Blaize, Steve Strange (Visage), Bishi, Broken hearts to name a few.
