We Experience “One Last Summer” at The Magic Roundabout

If you’re looking for Alicia Keys ‘concrete jungle’, look no further than the Magic Roundabout, Old Street.

An almost hidden entryway that blends into the subway access to Old Street underground station takes you up an incense infused stairway to an artistic urban space, decorated by local artists and recently redesigned into an Amazonian jungle.

This hangout will definitely take you away from the standardised, arguably bastardised, commercial hipster of Shoreditch.

The venue will take you away from the stereotypical city bars and into a niche area that has a relaxed vibe akin what you would want every summer garden party BBQ to achieve.

The partially covered terrain allows room to cater for all weather; with sheltered and unsheltered seating areas, a comfortable smoking corner so puffers don’t feel ostracised, a great selection of cocktails and craft beers, an array of entertainment and a bustling environment.

Current and new music is pumped throughout the area by a DJ, and on occasion live acts will perform later into the night. Whilst more veggie options would be welcomed, the staff/crew were very accommodating and provided excellent customer service throughout the evening; from bar staff, to those welcoming, to helpers!

The bottom line; if you want a watering role that’s artsy, quirky, indie-rock vibe, with great banter from the staff then look no further than the Magic Roundabout.
