Mabel & Not3s get hyped at MADE festival

MADE Festival was the place to be for UK grime and music culture. Created in Birmingham five years ago, the festival has made major moves in terms of generating great acts to follow the hype it receives each year!

This year saw the likes of long time legendary rapper Dizzie Rascal, the fresh Yxng Bane, and the new emerging artist Not3s who has performed alongside Mabel and Steel Banglez etc.

The evening unravelled as acts such as DJ Nathan Dawe performed, and due to a stage switch up because of the weather’s unpredictability, he performed in one of the MADE tents, which quickly filled up as we heard ‘OMG Nathan Dawe is next’ from most people surrounding us. The hype was, of course, something to go by, as once his set had finished I was left with nothing but a croak to my voice and a hair to my head, it is fair to say everyone was a mess once the set had finished.

After Nathan’s set, we got to see Not3s preparing backstage in what looked like a solo Not3s rave. He surely hyped myself and his crew up for his set which undoubtedly had everyone singing along to his songs. The dancehall inspired ‘Sit Back Down’ had each and every festival goer in a pumped up, cheerful mood.

Acts included Kurupt FM, DJ Ez, and Fleur Shore and had the crowd turned all the way up. Across all four stages, the buzz was a force that could be felt from outside Perry Park. All acts were hyped and engaging, which certainly kept the crowd going throughout the whole night!
