Q. Who did you grow up listening to and what are you listening to right now?
When I was a child I was spice girls OBSESSED with a little bit of room for Eternal and No Doubt. Teenage years I listened to a lot of Hip Hop and R&B. Lauryn Hill, Amy Winehouse (FRANK album), Pink, Destiny’s child, Missy Elliot, Eminem, The Streets, UK Garage. Right now I’m listening to a lot of BANKS, Jamie XX, NAO, Little Dragon, Haim, Solange, Noname, PPrincess Nokia…
Q. If you could work with any other Producer/ Rapper/ Singer on a record who would it be and why?
I would love to work with Grades. He produced a lot of Nao’s album and has worked with sinead Harnett. Just love his vibe. And also would be mega to get in the studio with Jamie XX. Rate him a lot.
Q. Tell us About the new track ‘Running Under Water’?
This song is about falling for someone with depression and feeling apprehensive about the emotional difficulty that might entail but at the same time, knowing there is nothing you can do about it as the love is addictive and the falling, inevitable….all under the guise of a summer banger you can dance to 😉
Q. You recently performed alongside MOBO winner Nadia Rose at the British House in Brazil for the 2016 Rio Olympics- how was that?
Yeah that was a ridiculous, once in a lifetime kind of gig. I went out with a group called the Beatbox collective and we perfomed at the British House which was this epic open roof building with views of the Brazilian mountains in the background. That was the first time I’d heard of Nadia Rose and from the moment I saw ever perform I knew she would be big. She’s got a lot of charisma and an infectious energy on stage.
Q. You were hailed by singer and Hollywood A-Lister Will Smith for your beatboxing talents, are you now both besties?
Absolutely. We talk almost every day.

Honestly don’t have one but my Mum Sue Sav is a very stylish lady. Hope I look as sassy as her in my old age.

I’m doing a stint of 11 festivals and have just started working with a manager and booking agent so focusing on album writing for the autumn/winter and looking forward to more
