Temperley London SS18: Alice Temperley Interview

This season, English designer Alice Temperley of fashion house – Temperley London, takes us from dusk to dawn along the French Rivera with a 50’s twist. The collection featured bold graphic prints and retro stripes, with delicate embroidered dresses and skirts in a pastel palette; followed by glitzy evening wear. The models wore make up by Charlotte Tilbury herself, and sandals in a collaboration with luxury footwear designer, Pedro Garcia.

This collection has definitely been one of our favourites and is on our top-list of this seasons best shows. Take a look at the beautiful here:

Right after the show our team had a chat with designer Alice Temperley and were given backstage access to the after show celebrations. Watch our interview as Alice shares her inspirations, thoughts on social media’s influence on fashion and advice for new designers.

Having previously dressed royalty (Duchess of Cambridge/Kate Middleton) to musicians (Rita Ora, Mariah Carey) and actresses, Temperley London hosted a front row of international celebrities including Singer Pixie Lott, Influencer Niomi Smart, and Bond girl Olga Kurylenko, during their Spring/Summer 2018 show at London Fashion Week.

About The Collection

Encapsulating the sartorial mood of an escape to the Riviera, the Summer 18 collection suggests days spent poolside, followed by martinis at golden hour. This season offers a contemporary interpretation of the world of Slim Aarons, his muses, and the sense of inherent ease he captured. Cinched in, feminine waists paired with relaxed, rolled sleeves feature throughout the collection, creating an overtly feminine silhouette reminiscent of 1950’s sirens. The colour palette celebrates life in the South of France; fresh azure blues, lilacs, shades of olive and laurel greens, rose and powder pinks and accents of candy cane red, poppy and peach.Temperley London SS18 Alice Temperley Interview
