Beyoncé: There’s so much FIZZ in ‘Lemonade’ Review
Beyoncé drops yet another album ‘Lemonade’. The Visual Album has already broken the internet! I can tell you it’s a ground-breaking album on the cusp of Prince‘s passing.
Lemonade is extremely personal , full off visual imagery, with New Orleans influences. The visual album is political, touching on African Americans who have lost there lives due to racist police brutality ( YES This happened!) and references to Mark Duggan forcing America to stand up and listen and to fight for change- inequality still exists- we know it shouldn’t
The album is packed with so many jazzy, RnB, HIP HOP and even country undertones. Beyoncé has collaborated with the likes of Jack White, The Weekend and James Blakesome of the Music industry’s most innovate music creators.
Lemonade is a creative and honest masterpiece!! Shes back and here to stay, Rihanna needs to watch out! The only drawback is its EXLCUSIVE to her hubbys music streaming site #TIDAL , but it’s a must listen so you know what you need to do!.
Here are the standout tracks.
This track has reggae ‘UB40’ reggae influences, and a mix of Horns which simply just works.
Trippy, Slow, Groovy, gritty Bahama influenced production, such an innovative track – love this!
#FavLyric: ‘hold up… slow down they don’t love you like I love you.. whats worse? Looking jealous or crazy…’
Don’t Hurt yourself Ft. Jack White
An unexpected collaboration. This track has ‘B’ swearing all over this in her lazy but energetic Southern American Texas drawl –I do feel like with Jack on this track it could have been even rockier though.
#FavLyric: ‘ your not married to your average Beyoncé Boy.. Bad Mother F..***r… F**&^K YOU Hater….you will never re-create her.. no’
Its very aggressive late 80s Prince reminiscent of when he went all hip hp pop
Very much a female anthem, club banger – Destiny’s Child Who? ‘B’ really comes into her own on this track.
#FavLyric: ‘ I aint thinkin bout you.. suck my B&&&&s ls I’ve had enough .. ( ok… B don’t hold back)
