Esé Azénabor’s Fierce “Paradise” at ESSENCE Fashion House

To help celebrate their 50th anniversary, ESSENCE Magazine ended NYFW 2020 with positive vibes, to unite global artists of color. The one-of-a-kind experience, known as ESSENCE Fashion House included thought-provoking panel discussions, mixed media art presentations and designer showcases. Out of the multitude of inspiring artists highlighted, Esé Azénabor caught our eye with her spectacular collection.

Fashion designer, Azénabor is Nigerian born and Canadian raised, but is now currently based out of Dallas, Texas, where she launched her self-named atelier. She uses inspirations from her diverse background, cultures and love of vintage art, in all of her designs. Launched in 2015, Azénabor has created eight bridal gown and haute-couture collections, which can be seen on celebrities like, Wendy Williams and Taraji P. Henson. She continues to gain recognization and recently made several TV appearances, including The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Azénabor’s most recent FW2020 collection presented at ESSENCE Fashion House sparkled with beaded designs and brilliant colors of floral prints, appropriately named, “Paradise”. The audience was captivated as each model walked down the runway in her signature tulle gowns, displaying her impeccable embroidery and stitch work. The presentation was simply breathtaking!
