Festival season -What are the 2018 big ones?

Yeah sure its cold and miserable at the moment but it will be over soon so lets forget about all of that!! Festival season 2018 is back and these are the early ones you need to be all over:

Storyland Festival 2018

When & where:6-7 January Belo Horizonte Beach, Santa Marta, Colombia 

Columbia brings you Storyland an epic electronic music festival in Santa Marta, a popular beach destination on Colombia’s northern coast.

Spanning the dance music spectrum, from EDM and big room house to minimal techno, the festival welcomes global megastars to perform alongside the crazy array of South American talent.

In keeping with the variety of styles, the staging also ranges from spectacular main stages to more stripped-back beach and pool parties across four high octane days.

Shockout 2018 

When & where: 24th February,  The Bath & West Showground

The brainchild of Hospitality and The Blast, Shockout’s debut edition is set to take place at The Bath & West Showground on 24th with some of the biggest names in bass music on the bill. The indoor festival, which will also include outdoor food areas, bars, and fairground rides, will play host to J Hus’ first headline festival appearance, while other talent includes Shy FX, High Contrast and London Elektricity.

Festival Estéreo Picnic

When & where: 23-25 March Bogotá, Colombia

Columbias capital city Bogota, Colombia famously known for Netflix Narcos brings us Festival Estéreo Picnic Festival, one of Colombia’s biggest and best music festivals.

Stars of rock, indie, hip-hop, pop and electronic music unite in the north of the city for a three-day fiesta, with a lineup that consistently boasts modern musical icons from across the globe.

Extrema Outdoor Belgium 

When & where:   May/June TBC, Houthalen-Helchteren, Belgium

Extrema Outdoor Belgium is an electronic music festival held in Houthalen-Helchteren, in the northeast of the country.

Lineups of underground house and techno’s heavy-hitters make the festival one of the region’s biggest and best, and the demand for tickets is seemingly ever-increasing as dance music fans flock to the enchanting woodland and lakeside.

The greatest show on snow is now on sale! The one and only Snowbombing ­Europes original, biggest and best snow and music festival ­ is back with the ultimate sub-zero party.

Celebrating its seventeenth incredible year,  Snowbombing 2018 takes place 4-9 April in the beautiful chocolate-box Tyrolean town of Mayrhofen, Austria. We were here last year and we can confirm it went off!!!

AMP Lost & Found Festival 2018

When & where:  3rd – 6th May, Malta

Set to return to the stunning Mediterranean island of Malta for its fourth edition, Annie Mac Presents Lost & Found will take place during the first UK bank holiday weekend of 2018 across 3-6 May.

Four Tet

Kicking things off as the first festival of the summer season, Lost & Found will offer 4 days and 4 nights of unique parties held across pools, boats, castles and an incredible outdoor nighttime festival site, with headliners including Jamie XX, Diplo, Four Tet, J Hus and event curator Annie Mac. The varied bill will also bring together an eclectic mix of AMP’s close friends and family as well as a slew of exciting breakthrough artists, spanning across a wealth of genres from house and techno through to grime and bass.

We Are FSTVL

When & where:  25th – 27th May, Damyns Hall Aerodrome, Upminster  

The 5 time award winning dance music show, We Are FSTVL has grown year upon year, proving itself as one of the biggest players on the dance festival circuit since its inception in 2013. With the dawn of 2018 heralding We Are FSTVL’s sixth edition, the UK’s most celebrated dance festival (Best Dance Event at 2016’s UK Festival Awards) continues to grow, combining innovative stage designs and mind-blowing production with a varied mix of genres from across the dance music spectrum.

Bringing together some of the most exciting names in dance music, underground and grime, alongside some of the world’s leading dance music brands and labels, We are FSTVL 2018 will play host to over 300 acts across 30 arenas between 26th-28th May.

Parklife Festival 2018

When & where: 910 June 2018,  Manchester, United Kingdom

Parklife 2018, which returns to Heaton Park, Manchester, over the weekend of 9th-10th June.  Its one of the UK’s most popular and famous weekenders, laying on a weekend of diverse and cutting-edge music inside Manchester’s Heaton Park.

Its recent editions have seen the likes of Mark Ronson, DJ EZ, Frank Ocean, The Chemical Brothers, Ice Cube, Jamie xx and The 1975 head up a festival that also includes quirky chill-out zones, live interactive art, a funfair, magicians and crazy installations.

 

TRNSMT Festival 2018

When & where: Glasgow, United Kingdom /29 Jun 2018 – 8 Jul 2018

Scotland’s newest city festival in the heart of Glasgow. TRNSMT is a Scottish rock and indie music festival on Glasgow Green, in the city’s east end. After a thrilling debut in 2017 that saw sets from Radiohead, Kasabian and Biffy Clyro, the festival has announced it will expand to two weekends in 2018.

NASS Festival 2018

Taking place on Bilbao’s Kobetamendi Mountain in the heart of the Basque Country, the festival is set to welcome thousands of international revellers for a weekend of incredible music from 12-14​ ​July​ ​2018​.

2018 sees Drum & Bass powerhouse, Hospitality, debut their acclaimed festival brand overseas at the picturesque location of The Garden Resort, Tisno in Croatia with the launch of Hospitality On The Beach next 12-16th July.

Set to become a high powered addition to the festival calendar, Hospitality On The Beach will take place on the perfectly formed site of The Garden Resort, Tisno which is famed for its private beach, crystal clear waters and blue skies.
Offering festival goers much more of an-all round holiday experience than most events due to its incredible picturesque offerings, camping will be made available around the location, as well as special on-site apartments.
