Artistic – Unique – Force of Nature
Who did you grow up listening to and what are you listening to right now?
If you could work with any other Producer/ Rapper/ Singer on a record who would it be and why?
Producer: James Blake, I think he’s a genius in producing minimalistic, electronic music in a simple and soulful way.
I think his artistic expression is of really high quality, and I’d love to learn from him or Nellee Hooper, the producer of Björk’s debut album, since it’s my favourite album. Or Flying Lotus, because he makes such extravagant beats.
Rapper: Tylor the Creator, because his attitude is rowdy in a sophisticated yet unique and playful way. His voice tembre is beautiful!
Tell us about the track ‘WOLF’- how did this track come together?
It was very simple. I was bicycling through Copenhagen, humming a melody and the chorus came to me in an instant. I recorded it on my phone, and I felt it was really fresh, so I tried it out in my studio. The whole feeling of the song came quickly, as I added rowdiness to the beat (808, gunshots, human beatbox samples) as a contribution to the beautiful melody. That’s how I like it; the raw and the beautiful together.
You have been branded by the guys at the Distract headquarters as the ‘Danish-Japanese’ Rihanna… would you agree with this comparison?
I am very flattered by this comparison and I think Rihanna is awesome, I think though that we are different types of artists. I might be a bit more towards the artsy, alternative side, although I like to combine this with pop.

Emilia Clarke (Khaleesi from GOT)
If You could trade places with another person for a week- famous or non famous/living or dead / real or fictional who would it be?
Björk. I think it’s amazing how she uncompromisingly keeps her integrity, honesty and originality throughout her artistic work. I’d love to experience that kind of self-trust and strength.
Any gigs/events planned for this / next year?
‘SPOT Festival’ in Denmark this May, ‘XpoNorth’ in Scotland and ‘Welcome to the Village’ in the Netherlands. And at the moment I am collaborating with a really interesting film-director named Agapi on a big production for the ‘Wolf’ music video. Otherwise, I am writing and producing new music and co-writing, for the next release that comes out around May.
