Hailing from Croydon, 23-year-old singer-songwriter Louis III today reveals the video to his debut single ‘Fever Thoughts’.
Louis is gearing up to be one of the hot new artists to look out for in 2018. The St Lucian/German south Londoner draws his influences from the culture clash of sounds he was exposed growing up; everything from his parents record collection (Bob Marley, Leonard Cohen, BB King and AC/DC to name a few) to credible beat driven pop he listens to (The XX, Frank Ocean, Kanye West, Major Lazer, and Drake) are areas he draws from to create his unique sound.
Louis says on the video, “I collaborated on the video for Fever Thoughts with my mate Jasper Cable-Alexander, who is a crazy talented director/photographer currently assisting Rankin. I tend to have a visual in my head when I write songs, and ranted my vision for the video to Jasper on a night out over a few too many beers – thankfully he was down to put his creative touch on it.
He adds “Fever Thoughts came out of a session where my insomnia had kept me up the night before. I wanted the track to feel like what my head felt like at 5am.”
This is may be the first you’ve heard of Louis but it won’t be the last, he is currently working with MNEK, George Reid (AlunaGeorge) on future releases, stay tuned for more news.
