“Meet the Danish Label Turning Minimalism Into a Status Symbol”

On Monday we began the biggest fashion celebration – the Fashion Week. This time in Copenhagen – a pioneer of sustainable clothing and emerging designers with a sharp vision for the future. One of them must be Forza Collective with redefining the status symbol. Why, you might ask? Let me tell you!

All my friends, who rarely follow fashion trends and get surprised with Vogue pictures from events and fashion weeks, constantly ask me: “but who would wear it”. I then tend to overexplain the art of fashion and try to come up with examples of the perfect blend between everydayness and art in fashion. I think I have just found the perfect match.

As we kicked off Copenhagen Fashion Week this Monday, I was fortunate enough to see up close the Forza Collective runway show. And let me tell you…every look was elite.

Forza Collective is called the “IT” brand in Copenhagen, gaining its reputation thanks to timeless pieces that still give this nice and fashionable twist. The beauty lies in their ability to make simplicity feel luxurious. These aren’t just clothes – they are modern art pieces that you can wear, with each design telling a story. This time it was no different.

Their SS26 collection demonstrated this perfectly, transforming the traditional approach to minimalism into something bold and remarkable. While the designs are rooted in simplicity, the intricate detailing –  like the unexpected feather accents, see-through textures, and the subtle play on proportions – pushes boundaries. It’s fashion that feels understated but still commands attention, a key trait that has turned Forza Collective into Copenhagen’s fashion scene’s most coveted brand.

After the show, guests have confirmed my thoughts. The crowd was cheering and scanding when the designer – Kristoffer Kongshaug – promptly ran through the runway cheering us. It was very Dior’s Jonathan Anderson style. The noise of the moment was whispered throughout the entire Fashion Week. Forza’s energy made them a leader in Copenhagen’s high-end quiet-luxury movement.

Copenhagen has cemented its reputation as the fashion industry’s sustainability leader. Unlike other fashion capitals, it doesn’t just celebrate responsible design – it mandates it. From 2023, all brands on the official schedule must meet 18 minimum sustainability requirements, making Copenhagen Fashion Week the first to tie environmental responsibility to participation. From circular collections to climate-conscious production, the city is setting a new standard for what modern fashion should look like.
