25 years after it first lit up London’s Friday nights, Smoove made its long-awaited return to Ministry of Sound — and for one special night, it felt like the capital’s club scene had truly come home.
Held at its iconic Gaunt Street location, the night was a celebration of sound, culture, and community. Across four arenas, the event served up an electrifying blend of genres that defined — and continue to shape — London’s music identity: House, Garage, Funky, RnB, Hip Hop, Afrobeats, and Dancehall.
This wasn’t just a throwback. It was a reminder of everything nightlife should be.

In the early 2000s, Smoove wasn’t just another club night — it was a movement. A regular fixture in the calendars of true music lovers, it set a new standard for what a night out could look and feel like. That same energy pulsed through every corner of Ministry of Sound during the comeback event, with a crowd that came not just to party, but to connect.
From the first beat to the final track, the atmosphere was electric. As Mugib Rahman, Events Manager at Ministry of Sound, explained ahead of the night:

Promoter Steven Cee summed it up perfectly:
