Wimbledon: the new Fashion Runway?

It’s been nearly a week since the close of Wimbledon 2025, but the photos, rumors, and awe still thrive on social media. Wimbledon has always been a dreamy stage for elegance, quiet luxury, and elite circles. The attention was unmatched (see what I did there?). Beyond the usual focus on the small yellow ball flying left and right, we were also treated to a one-of-a-kind fashion show. I’d bet my money that some of us – myself included – followed Wimbledon this year solely for the attendees’ looks. And wow, was it a feast for the eyes.

If you asked me who absolutely crushed it, we’d be here all day. But the stakes were even higher: it wasn’t just a one-night fashion moment. We had a five-day-long haute-couture spectacle packed into the tournament schedule.

As tradition dictates, the Royal Family graced the stands: ever since Princess Kate became Patron of Wimbledon in 2016, we’ve witnessed her grace and singular elegance at the event. But this year, we also got the viral Prince George meme: during the men’s final, the 11‑year‑old sat up straight, hands on the box rail, and delivered a dramatic, meme-worthy expression – so poker-faced you’d think he was a disappointed football manager. In moments like this, I just love the power of social media.

Celebrities like Daisy Edgar-Jones turned heads too. She donned a chic Gucci ensemble – pinstripe camisole and midi skirt with raffia bag – perfectly capturing Wimbledon’s summer aesthetic. Bollywood stars also brought that glamorous flair: Sonam Kapoor in Ralph Lauren pinstripes, Priyanka Chopra in a Ralph Lauren halter gown with Bvlgari, and Urvashi Rautela in an Ali Asaad white lace dress and quirky Labubu-doll bag that went viral – though it drew mixed reviews.

Brands like Ralph Lauren and Tag Heuer clearly seized this moment. The tournament is a perfect runway – athletes, actors, and celebs parading style in motion, each outfit a statement.

Here are some of my faves fashion moments from Wimbledon 2025:

  1. Monica Barbaro and Andrew Garfield

First public outing of the new show-biz couple: Monica Barbaro known for her role in “TopGun: Maverick” and ex-SpiderMan Andrew Garfield showed up to Wimbledon wearing Ralph Lauren.

2. Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu

The “Emily in Paris” icon showed up wearing more casual attire also made by Ralph Lauren.

3. Patrick Dempsey

The entire Dempsey family showed their support and love for sports during Men’s finals. Patrick Dempsey, the ambasador of Tag Heuer, was wearing Brunello Cucinelli.

4. Lily Collins

Lily Collins brought in the summer vibes with Stella Jean dress and viral Alaia flats.

5. Catherine, Princess of Wales

Catherine, the Princess of Wales was wearing Self-Portrait.

Wimbledon 2025 wasn’t just about tennis – it was a cultural moment of style, stories, and unforgettable expressions. From royal elegance to viral memes, the charm of Wimbledon endures well beyond the court.
