Q. Who did you grow up listening to and what are you listening to right now?
A mix of classic voices like Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin contrasted with the Ministry of Sound Annual Albums which my Mum used to buy me from Christmas from the age of 11 for some reason.
Q. If you could work with any other Producer/ Rapper/ Singer on a record who would it be and why?
I’d love to work with George FitzGerald – his beats hit the spot in the emotional way but are still banging!
Q. Tell us About the Track ‘Poison’
Poison is a track that kinda wrote itself (I love it when that happens) I basically slowed down this houseyish beat I had and it made such a cool groove I knew I had to write a song over it- I made the baseline and when I was trying to write a melody for the chorus it just made the most sense to sin…
Q. We have labelled you as ‘Robyn’s love child in reference to your sound- would you agree with this?
Haha! I like that a lot- I love Robyn……. I covered Dancing On My Own last year- that lyrics in that song I can relate too a little too much……

Robin Williams (RIP) he’s the ultimate Dad in Mrs Doubtfire- I mean the lengths he goes too!!! and Kate Bush super songwriting powerhouse!

7/10 I got work to do- I reckon it will be higher when I finish writing and producing my album and it sounds good haha

Q. Any gigs/events planned for this / next year?
I’ve had the best time this year playing SXSW, Great Escape, R1 Biggest weekend and a quite a few Summer festivals including Standon Calling and Field view- I’ve got one left which is called HUB festival in Cardiff on 26th August and until then I am trying desperately to finish my album! Gonna do a big album launch show with two percussionists in spring 2019.
