The Hummingbirds : hitting the scene hard

Liverpool an absolute cathedral of great music, the historic bands that have come out the city reads like who’s who of the greatest acts to come out of the Great Britain and grace the world stages.  The Beatles are the ones who immediately come to mind. But you can’t forget bands the likes of Cast, Echo & the Bunnymen, The Merseybeats, The Zuton, and most recently Circa Waves are breaking through to rep it for the city of Liverpool.

It’s got to be something in the air there as yet another group hit the scene. The Hummingbirds have a little piece of every act that has come before them. I’d use the word excitement when I heard thier new single ‘Out Of The Rain’ it’s an infectious number which is sung beautifully in three part harmonies that are rich and soulful.

I feel that this song will really resonate with fans who appreciate contemporary melodies tinged with acoustic guitar riffs. The Hummingbirds bring something fresh and authentic to the table with this new single that is for sure.

I for one will be looking out for their London dates :  8th December at The Barfly, and The O2 Academy Liverpool on 28th November.

With Jay Davies on lead vocals / guitar, Mic Kountis on guitar / backing vocals, Matty Brougham on rhythm guitar, Ryan Lewis on bass and Richard Smith on drums / backing vocals.

These lads are going to hit the scene hard with real gusto. These Liverpool lads have a solid future ahead of them.
