We hang out with British boy band ‘5 After Midnight’ (members: @Kieran Alleyne, @Nathan Lewis & @Jordan Lee) at Syco Music’s HQ – Sony Music UK. It was an afternoon full of banter, laughs and fun vibes with the energetic trio – discussing their new single and music video ‘Up In Here’.
In our full interview (coming soon) we learn about their individual personalities with a quick fire round, ‘This or That’ game session, where the majority rule Nando’s over Domino’s, and were ambivalent over which Jenner sister (Kendall Jenner or Kylie Jenner) would “make them the jealous type”.
EXCLUSIVE:💥 In this video the guys share exclusive news – 5 After Midnight will be performing at Dolce & Gabbana’s Alta Moda Palermo – couture fashion event (#DGLovesPalermo) this coming weekend.
After storming the iTunes chart following their Britain’s Got Talent performance, 5 After Midnight reveal the vibrant video for their brand new single ‘Up In Here’.
Choreographed by award winning JaQuel Knight, who has previously worked with Beyonce on the iconic ‘Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)’, the video promises to show off Kieran, Jordan and Nathan’s energetic dance moves.
Nathan: “The music video was something I had been looking forward to the most out of everything, then working with the greats such as JaQuel Knight topped it all off! It was also amazing to have my friends come and skate in the video too, it was a LOT of fun.”
Jordan: “The video to me feels so cool, fresh and energetic. It was fun for us to be able to show off our personalities too. JaQuel Knight was incredible and pushed us all to a new level of choreography. “
Kieran: “It’s amazing to be able to work with people who have always inspired you, it definitely took the video to another level and we were able to have so much fun at the same time.”
The upbeat track marks the beginning of what will be a huge year for the boys. ‘Up In Here’ is the first single from their debut album, which will be released later this year. The track, written by MNEK and Raye, features a catchy hook sampled from rapper DMX’s 1999 anthem Party Up (Up In Here).
5 After Midnight rose to stardom on The X Factor 2016. They wowed TV audiences of millions week after week with their slick vocals and high energy dance routines, quickly gaining themselves a loyal fan-base.
Following the finale of the series, they signed to Simon Cowell’s Syco Music, whose roster includes Little Mix, Louis Tomlinson, Fifth Harmony, James Arthur and Camila Cabello – not forgetting former band members One Direction.
