The creators of the original ‘Just for Laughs Montreal’, Canada are renown for discovering the talents of Rowan Atkinson, Jim Carrey and Adam Sandler. Their UK debut takes place in Russell Square, London for 11 days between 14th-24th July 2016.

From the snap shot performances seen, Piff the Magic Dragon, Papa CJ, the Champions of Magic, Andrew Maxwell and Keith Farnan are highly recommended.

Looks can be decieving with Piff the Magic Dragon. He may look like a friendly green dragon, but be warned, his comedy is not family friendly!! Witty and sarcastic humour, unique choice in tools for his astonishing magic tricks and he has a dog – Mr Piffles. Sound funny because he is. Definately one to see.

Papa CJ is a world travelling comedian that can make you laugh, cry and possibly change the way you look at things. With improvised comedy, you never know where the act may lead… Outrageous annecdotes on current events, a comical review on history and the potential to be mocked. What’s not to like?

5 illusionists combine to create the Champions of Magic to perform tricks of the trade. Mind-reading, close up magic and illusions that will keep you wondering how they bamboozled you. Family friendly fun for all from which you may even get a surprise if it’s your birthday(!)

And of course, what would a festival be without a couple of Irish comedians? Both performances by Andrew Maxwell and Keith Farnan are bound to have you induced with laughter with their charming wit, cutting edge comedy and off the cuff adult humour. No place is better suited for them than the Just for Laughs Festival.

Whether you come to the shows or enjoy the family friendly free street performers, magicians and art installations you can make the most of one of London’s most semetrical parks. The festival contains a bar, the cleanest bathrooms I’ve ever seen at a festival(!) whilst you take time out to lounge on big cushions, absorb your Vitamin D and watch the squirrels run off with your food. With tickets to performances going for as cheap as £5, this is one not to miss!
