Big Narstie returns to the festival to perform and will also MC poolside with Sian Anderson and Julie Adenuga for the return of Noisey’s grime karaoke. Taking over Zrce Beach, 12th – 14th July, Fresh Island welcomes some of the best names in hip-hop, grime and r&b including Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign, Kehlani, Chip, DJ Premier, Tim Westwood and more for the ultimate urban music escape this summer. One of the biggest names in r&b, Chris Brown needs little introduction. Skyrocketing to success after his debut single Run It hit the top of the Billboard chart back in 2005, Chris Brown has since released seven studio albums, five of those platinum, along with a multitude of singles and major collaborations. For the first time a huge stage will be built on the beach for thousands of fans to watch the Grammy winner perform right next to the water on the final night. A renowned live tour-de-force and with no performances planned for the UK for the next year, Brown’s Fresh Island debut will be one of the musical highlights of the summer.Following the success of last year, VICE’s Noisey return to the shores of Croatia to host another Adriatic edition of their famed Grime Karaoke series. Last year saw Stormzy, Big Narstie and hundreds of revellers spit bars in the sun for the ultimate grime pool party. Following Big Narstie’sspiritual awakening on the beach in 2015, the BDL MC returns to bring the bass along with Radio 1Xtra’s Sian Anderson delivering the beats, while Beat 1 DJ Julie Adenuga is onboard to host the madness.
