Usher’s new collaborative project with producer Zaytoven consists of eight murky, R’n’B/Hip-Hop beats. In true Usher style, he cradles each beat with luxurious melodies and smooth vocals!
This album brings back the R’n’B of the late 90’s early 2000’s. Each song confronts a vulnerable yet steamy Usher, and Zaytoven – who has worked in the past on many R’n’B albums – including Future’s 2018 mixtape Beast Mode 2, is a perfect collaboration partner for an artist like Usher.
Songs such as ‘Say What You Want’ present a heavenly piano set which fits no one better than Usher. The more up-tempo ‘You Decide’ is a genius mixture of R’n’B, flute type arrangements, accompanied by a trap beat! Usher’s new collaborative album ‘A’ is a journey back to the future.
Zaytoven has surely blessed our ears with nostalgic beats from the past, incorporating relevant trending arrangements in today’s music. This album is for sure not a monotonous record and is quite an addictive listen!
