We finally saw the release of Boogie, a coming-of-age story directed by the author of Fresh Off The Boat, Eddie Huang; starring Dave East. The story follows a Chinese-American basketball phenomenon, living in NYC, who struggles to balance the expectations of his immigrant family with his own dreams of becoming a player for the NBA.
Rapper, Dave East, made a name for himself after nailing his role as Method Man in the Hulu series, Wu-Tang: American Saga. We caught Dave before his appearance on the runway, walking for ‘Hakkan’ prior to the pandemic.
Granted things have been slow for everyone, Dave is still hustling and was recently featured on Vado’s track,‘Blessings’, alongside Dre.
