Rising pop talent Nadav Sivan is proud to share his melodic and meaningful new single “Perfume”,recorded LIVE and with a full orchestra.
The song was inspired by an international student of Nadav’s who had endured much hardship in her young life. The song encourages her to go forward and “rise” . Watch the video here:
The track is taken from his yet-to-be-titled forthcoming album, set to land in 2025.
Previous Single “U So Hot”was famously featured on a key fashion catwalk episode of The Kardashians!
We had a chat with Nadav to find out more!
Q. So to KICK it all off, your track ‘U So Hot’ was featured on The Kardashians—how did that feel?
First of all, it was surreal! When I got the news, I couldn’t believe it. It’s such a massive platform, and as an independent artist, these kinds of moments are what you dream of but rarely imagine happening. Seeing my song paired with such a high-profile moment, like Cardi B walking during a Balenciaga fashion show, was truly incredible. It felt like one of those “pinch me” moments.
Q. Do you watch The Kardashians? And who’s your favorite?
I don’t watch it regularly, but it’s such a cultural phenomenon that you can’t help but catch moments of it here and there. If I had to pick a favorite, I think I’d go with Kim—she’s built such an empire and redefined the meaning of celebrity in so many ways.
Q. Who did you grow up listening to, and what are you listening to right now?
I grew up immersed in classical music—Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, Mahler. That world was my foundation. But during my teenage years, I discovered contemporary artists like Stevie Wonder, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Frank Ocean, and Adele. Right now, my playlist is a mix of everything—Anderson .Paak, Rosalia, Kendrick Lamar, and of course, some throwback soul and R&B.
Q. If you could work with any other artist out there, who would it be?
There are so many, but if I had to choose, it would probably be Stevie Wonder. He’s such a legend and has inspired me on so many levels—not just musically but also with his ability to connect emotionally through his art. I’d also love to work with Frank Ocean. His artistry is incredible; he’s so innovative and honest in his music. I feel like collaborating with him would be a masterclass in storytelling and emotion.
Q. Tell us a bit about your debut album, ‘Til The Day We Die.’
This album is such a personal project. It’s a blend of all the different parts of me—musically and emotionally. From heartfelt piano ballads to upbeat tracks like ‘U So Hot,’ it reflects the ups and downs, the pain, the joy, and the crazy moments I’ve experienced. I worked on it with my long-time collaborator, Yuval Bigal, and we poured everything into it. I feel like it’s a true introduction to who I am as an artist.
Q. We have a few easy questions for you now—Pick two celebrities to be your parents. Who?
Oh, this is fun! Okay, maybe Meryl Streep as my mom because she’s such an icon and wise beyond measure. And for my dad… let’s go with David Bowie. He was endlessly creative, bold, and ahead of his time. I’d love to grow up in that household.
Q. Rate yourself on a scale of 1–10.
Honestly? Somewhere between a 6 and a 10, depending on the day! Some days you feel like you’re on top of the world, and others, you’re just trying to figure it all out.
Q. What’s your go-to emoji?
Definitely this one:
It perfectly captures that mix of feeling overwhelmed but still keeping it cool—a mood I think most people can relate to.
Q. Who is your style icon?
I’d say Harry Styles. I love how bold and fearless he is with his fashion. He mixes classic and edgy in such an effortless way, and I really admire that.
