JUNCTION 2 COMPLETES LINE UP FOR 2023 Adding in CC:DISCO, Chris Avantgarde, Mathame, Batu plus plenty more

Returning to its original home, the legendary Boston Manor Park, this year’s Junction 2 is expected to be the most daring yet. With fresh stage designs, an upgraded venue, and a long-term ambition, Junction 2 will see a renewed focus on alliances, with DJs performing mesmerising back-to-back performances, having confirmed a host of familiar favourites with new members of the Junction 2 family.

Adding to the already historic lineup, the team have added B.Love, Cashu, CC:Disco!, Dan Shake, DJ Seinfeld, I. Jordan, Kettama, Manami, Max Cooper (Live), Nabihah Iqbal (DJ Set) and NIKS for the Friday and Adiel, Batu, Bitter Babe, Chris Avantgarde, Ehua, KAS:ST, Kiimi, Mathame (AV), Nick León plus Hessle Audio for the Saturday.

On Friday, J2 continues the wide-ranging explorations of house, bass and techno, with acts commonly spoken of as selectors and tastemakers within the scene. These include CC:DISCO and Dan Shake, both revered within the worlds of house, disco and its adjacent styles; musical chameleon DJ Seinfeld; Nabihah Iqbal, who plays a special DJ set; I. JORDAN, one of the underground scene’s most in-demand producers and DJs, and Max Cooper, who brings his larger-than-life live set to Boston Manor Park for the first time.

Saturday’s stylistic boundaries are also expanded by the inclusion of some of the brightest lights in underground dance music rooted in soundsystem culture, headed up by one of the UK’s most beloved imprints, Hessle Audio. These include Timedance boss Batu, one of the game’s most technically gifted and daring contributors; the Miami-based combination of Nick León and Bitter Babe, who have pushed Latin-influenced sounds to the forefront of global dance music recently, and Ehua, the Italian-Ivorian DJ and producer treading new paths within experimental bass music.

Alongside these initial names are more artists making debuts at the festival, including the ever-evolving DJ Seinfeld; Irish rave star Kettama; the energetic and eclectic force of Cashu; future star Manami, who continues to make waves across the global scene; Black Artist Database founder and top shelf selector NIKS, who will now go B2B with Otik, and deep digger B.Love, whose enviable record bag is always full of sought-after house cuts. All these additions round off what is sure to be an inspiring and transformative day of electronic music at Boston Manor Park where previously announced names include Underworld, Jeff Mills, Dixon, Ben UFO B2B Helena Hauff, Daphni B2B Hunee, Mall Grab B2B Skin On Skin, Midland, DJ Stingray B2B Objekt, Elkka B2B Sofia Kourtesis, Or:la, Mona Yim, Storm Mollison and KT.
