Peacock has unveiled “Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist,” Kevin Hart steps into the role of the Chicken Man, determined to clear his name after being accused of orchestrating a notorious heist.
“Fight Night” is based on the iHeart true-crime podcast of the same name. The series is set in Atlanta in 1970 in the day surrounding Muhammad Ali’s comeback fight against Jerry Quarry.
The series boasts a star-studded lineup and some of my favorite stars in Hollywood featuring Samuel L. Jackson as Frank Moten, Taraji P. Henson as Vivian Thomas, and Terrence Howard as Cadillac Richie. Key guest stars include Chloe Bailey (“Lena Mosley”), Marsha Stephanie Blake (“Delores Hudson”), Dexter Darden (“Muhammad Ali”), Lori Harvey (“Lola Falana”), and Sinqua Walls (“McKinley Rogers”).
Ogbonna and Horwitch serve as executive producers, coalesced by Kevin Hart, Bryan Smiley, and Mike Stein from Hartbeat; Will Packer and Sabrina Wind from Will Packer Media; Conal Byrne and Carrie Lieberman from iHeartPodcasts. Further, Craig Brewer, who directed four episodes, also bears the role of executive producer. Tiffany Brown and Kenny Burns from Hartbeat are co-executive producers, with UTV as the studio behind the series.
